ASUU Warning Strike Ends On Monday

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU long-running )’s strike will come to an end on Monday, May 9, 2022.

On February 14, 2022, the academic union began industrial action, according to Naija02.

As a result of the development, varsity gates have been locked and all academic activities have been halted.

The second round of the eight-week warning strike ends tomorrow, according to Naija News, and varsity lecturers will have to decide what to do next during the window period.

The union is expected to meet with federal government representatives again to resolve the lingering exercise, which has left Nigerian students wandering the streets because they are unable to attend their classes.

If the anticipated meeting fails to yield a positive result, the union may be forced to go on indefinite strike.

According to Vanguard, the union’s national leadership will announce its decision on Monday.

According to reports, the union’s National Executive Committee (NEC) had previously authorized the national leadership to call members out on indefinite strike if no tangible results were achieved during the eight-week warning strike.
